The Turbo XS WRX & STi uppipe is manufactured to exacting standards to increase exhaust flow to the turbocharger, increase HP, and reduce turbo lag. Turbo XS's WRX Uppipe offers a flex section to help with fitment and a stainless steel finish to improve durability. The flex section found in the TurboXS uppipe for the 08 WRX decreases the chance of an exhaust leak which is common with non-flex section upipes. |
The Turbo XS uppipe has an inner diameter of 45mm; this is the exact same size as a stock 08 Subaru WRX turbocharger inlet. This promotes the best possible performance throughout the entire RPM range by maintaining exhaust velocity. Oversizing the inner diameter of the uppipe slows exhaust velocity and creates turbulence as it enters the smaller inlet of the turbocharger, ultimately hurting turbocharger spool up.

NOTES: The 2008 WRX does not have a cat in the uppipe. The inside of the factory uppipe is corrugated, however, so an aftermarket uppipe is still a good modification.
