Turbo XS’s WRX & STi External Wastegate Uppipe will give you significantly better boost control over an internal wastegate setup. The Turbo XS EWG uppipe is perfect for stock-flanged, stock-location big turbos setup for an external wastegate. The Turbo XS uppipe is flanged for a Tial 44mm v-band external wastegate (not included) or equivalent, and includes an external dump tube that is a direct exit into the atmosphere when the wastegate opens. An external wastegate will give you more precise boost control, and allow you to hit your exact boost level, making more consistent power.

Important Notes About the Turbo XS External Wastegate Uppipe:
- The Turbo XS External Wastegate Uppipe does not work with bellmouth downpipes (including Turbo XS’s 4” bellmouth downpipe). You will need to use Turbo XS’ NON-Bellmouth Downpipe sold separately below. (TXS-WS-DP-EXT).
- The Turbo XS External Wastegate uppipe will fit with a stock downpipe, but heatshield trimming is required.
- The Turbo XS External Wastegate uppipe MAY work with some flat-flanged aftermarket downpipes, at this point this is untested and we will not accept returns for fitment issues with other brands of downpipe.
- If you are using a turbo that already has an internal wastegate (stock WRX/STi), it will need to be disabled. The most common method is to weld the opening shut.
- Due to the capability to run much higher boost levels, professional installation, tuning, engine management and fuel system upgrades are required.
- The Turbo XS External Wastegate uppipe does not include a wastegate.
- The system is set up to vent the wastegate exhaust to atmosphere; welding would be required to route it into the downpipe.
- While this will eliminate boost spiking, there is minimal advantage to using this setup with a stock turbo

This is the Turbo XS External Wastegate Uppipe and wastegate dump tube. The uppipe has an OEM Subaru WRX & STi turbocharger flange and is setup for a Tial 44mm v-band wastegate (not included).

Turbo XS Non-Bellmouth Downpipe:
Designed for use with the Turbo XS External Wastegate Uppipe, the Non-Bellmouth downpipe gives the proper clearance for the Turbo XS external wastegate uppipe.
PLEASE NOTE:
This downpipe is designed for use with a Turbo XS turboback exhaust. If you are not using a Turbo XS exhaust, you will need to use their catback adapter pipe (sold separately below) to make this downpipe fit up to a 3" catback exhaust.

Tial 44mm External Wastegate:
The Tial 44mm Wastegate has massive inlets and outlets for optimal boost control. This will attach directly to the Turbo XS External Wastegate Uppipe using the included V-Band Clamps. Includes 6-7 psi (.5 bar) actuator.
