| Finally, a range of affordable high performance journal bearing direct replacement turbochargers that have been specifically designed for the by the Subaru performance specialists - APS. APS has engineered a series of proprietary turbochargers from the ground up to match the exact requirements of high performance Subaru 2.0L and 2.5L engines. The APS SS Series turbochargers are designed for fast spool-up to deliver crisp turbocharger response and smooth torque delivery. Best of all, SS turbochargers are complete bolt-on for 02-07 WRX and 04-09 STi models which makes for a clean and hassle free installation. The APS SS45 and SS42 turbochargers are both designed identical compressor design, dimensions and flow characteristics. The difference is in the turbine housings - which in the case of the SS45 turbocharger, a larger 8cm exhaust housing results in higher flow capacity for the larger 2.5L engines. All APS SS turbochargers for the 02-07 WRX & 04-09 STi require an upgraded fuel pump, larger fuel injectors and a reflash or custom ECU tune. APS SS42 Turbocharger:
The APS SS42 turbo utilizes 2.4in inlet, TD06 sized compressor housing and 45lb/min wheel coupled with a 7cm exhaust housing, designed specifically for 2.0 liter Subaru models. The APS SS42 uses an internal wastegate, includes an 18psi upgraded adjustable wastegate actuator and is intended to give the best performance when tuned between 18-22psi. The SS42 is a great small turbo upgrade option for 2.5 WRX and STi models that do are looking for a great road race or autox turbo. The SS42 is a true 320+whp turbo with a noticeable but generally tolerable lag increase on a 2.0 WRX. You can expect the APS SS42 to make between 320-350whp when tuned with proper supporting modifications. Includes all oil feed lines required for a complete bolt-on install. |

You can expect the APS SS45 to make between 350-380whp when tuned with proper supporting modifications. Includes all oil feed lines required for a complete bolt-on install. |
