| For high-powered 2002-2005 WRX applications, Exedy offers two styles of multi plate clutch kits designed handle all the torque you can throw at it. These kits are designed for extreme street driving as well as drag, road, and rally racing. Exedy Multi-Disc clutch kits are extremely heavy duty and are not recommended for WRXs without gear and drivetrain component upgrades, so purchase at your own risk. All Exedy multi plate clutches come complete with a lightweight chromoly steel flywheel and the iconic purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Exedy multi plate clutches are rated up to 500+ foot pounds of torque at the flywheel. Available in sprung and unsprung designs with carbon and cerametallic discs for the 2002-2005 Subaru WRX. |
| MANUFACTURER'S NOTE:
When installing a sports/performance clutch to suit the vehicle, the Subaru WRX can transfer harmonic transmitted noises from the engine to the gearbox. This may also cause gearbox rattle. These transmitted noises will in no way effect the performance of the clutch or vehicle and is accepted in the performance industry where engine/clutch modifications have been carriedout. These noises are also applicable to single plate cerametallic clutch applications. |

Cerametallic Twin-Disc Sprung Hub Kit: |
| Exedy's Cerametallic 02-05 WRX twin-disc clutch kit features sprung hub, with a slight increase in pedal feel over stock. The twin-disc design offers increased surface area for improved power handling and a clamp rating of 2205lbs. Designed for high-performance applications, this clutch can handle whatever you want to throw at it. This will put some strain on the transmission, however and it is recommended that this clutch only be coupled with a fortified transmission and drivetrain. This is a great clutch for big-turbo WRXs and 2.5 swapped WRXs looking for a very heavy duty clutch solution. This kit includes also includes a high performance chromoly flywheel. |

Carbon Twin-Disc Solid Hub Kit: |
Exedy's 02-05 WRX Multi-Carbon solid hub clutch kit can hold massive amounts of torque to put beastly amounts of power to the pavement. However, because this kit is of a solid hub design, JSC Speed strongly discourages using this kit with a street driven or daily driven WRX. The Exedy Carbon twin plate clutch makes for very harsh clutch engagement with exponentially increased stress on the drivetrain. An upgraded gear set is a must with this kit. The carbon disc is significantly lighter than a standard disc, so you can expect quicker shifts and less clutch chatter. This kit includes a high performance chomoly flywheel.
Carbon disc clutch kits required spefic break-in before they can handle advertised torque limits. Please refer to manufacturer's literature for more information. |
