6/24/04, STOCK CAR: First off, I'd like to go on the record as saying that I had 3 standards I lived by until now. The first was don't buy front wheel drive. The second was don't buy a Dodge, and the last was don't buy a Dodge Neon. The SRT-4 changed all of these. It's just too damn fun and well-priced. I think it might have been the viper-style seats that sold me.

She currently has about 300 miles on her, about 290 of which have been spent taking it easy. Daimler Chrysler says the break-in period is 300 miles, but seeing how the STi's breakin was 700 miles and how I don't trust anything Dodge has to say, I'm going to take this car up to about 1,000 miles before I start dumping mods into it. I got the Kicker sound system, so it keeps my urges to lay into the throttle somewhat surpressed. We're already stockpiling parts to install, so things should get interesting in the upcoming weeks. |
