| JSC Speed Project SRT-4: Weapon R Catch Can Installation |
| Weapon R Catch Can: The SRT-4 dumps a whole lot of oil into the intake plumbing from the PCV valve (little 90 degree guy on the passenger side valve cover). This oil builds up, filling your intercooler, and making your rubber or silicone stock/aftermarket pipes blow off. There is an easy fix, however. Venting the valve cover line to the atmosphere rather than into the intake/airbox is one (this is why I chose the Perrin intake; it comes with a breather). Rerouting the PCV lines is the other; here's how it's done.

This installation technique will not work with a stock airbox; what I did is buy a metal bracket, drill two holes in it to line up with the bracket that comes with the Weapon R catch can, and used bolts to compress the two pieces of metal around the metal bar that sticks up from the battery tray (the top left picture shows this).
LINE ROUTING: Thanks to the guys at Rev It Up for this:
1. Follow the stock PCV line, it goes from the valve cover on the passenger side into the intake manifold by the throttle body.
2. Disconnect the PCV line from the throttle body, and cap the port.
3. Run the PCV line to one of the ports on your catch can.
4. Vent the other port to the atmosphere or tee it into the breather filter coming off the valve cover. Never directly connect the PCV line to the valve cover, you can do some serious engine damage by doing this.
You will be shocked at the amount of oil your catchcan picks up. Weapon R also has an SRT-4 Specific catch can that attaches to the factory motor mounts and has a breather built in.
