JSC Speed's 1993 Mazda Miata Project Car

Besides installing the header and cat I installed a couple of gauges that are more accurate than the OEM ones. I hooked up Defi White Racer Pressure and Temp gauges to give me readings on what my oil was doing. I sourced a gauge panel from DDMWorks that allowed me to mount my two 52mm gauges in the center stack, under my single-din radio. The DDMWorks panel is powder coated black and fits perfectly. I had to get creative to secure the gauges in the panel (I think they panel is designed to be used with Auto Meter gauges), but I did get them in there securely.

The Defi gauges' senders were connected to the oil filter attachment using the GTSpec 20mm Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter. The sandwich adapter allows you to hook two gauges into it (in my case it was the oil temp and oil pressure). I realize that the 90-93 Miatas have a true, analog style oil pressure gauge, but the readings are erratic and inaccurate. I still have the OEM OP gauge connected and reading it compared to the Defi is hilarious. The Defi will show 25 psi at 1000rpm (idle), while the OEM will read in the area of 30ish.
