After a few mediocre autocross outings I realized I needed bigger swaybars than the puny OEM ones that I was still running. Any autocrosser that has driven a Miata in anger will tell you to put the biggest front anti-sway bar you can on the car. I opted for the Eibach 24mm front and 15mm rear sway bar kit. I also sourced adjustable endlinks from MazdaSpeed Motorsports Development that would help make the install and tuning of my new swaybars easier.
Installation was very straightforward, and the fit of the Eibach bars was perfectly. The 24mm front bar has two stiffness settings and the rear 15mm bar offers three. I set the front to full stiff and the rear to full soft for my first round of testing. Initial impressions were that at lower speeds (autocross speeds) turn-in was vastly improved! Yay! Success! I had an autocross the week after I installed the bars and noticed a jump in performance (all the Miata-folk swaybar mythology is right). The little bit of body roll that was present before the Eibachs was virtually eliminated, and corner entry and exit was pretty much drama-free (it would have been completely drama free if I'd had better tires underneath me).
