JSC Speed Project 2005 Evo 8: Stock Images & Specs
I opted for a 2005 Evo for several reasons. First, the 'leftovers' (I bought this when the IXs were out) were still new and were alot cheaper (if you can find them). 2nd, they have the 10.5 hotside turbo, which is an upgrade from the 03-04 models. 3rd, they have the Active Center Differential (ACD), which was not previously available on the 03 & 04 models, and some other driveline upgrades including a helical front limited-slip differential. Last, they are available with leather. Not having the Mivec variable valve timing of the Evo IX is good and bad, you can slap some cams in there and use an AEM EMS, but you may lose out on some additional power in 2 years when the EMS is available. So here it is, my rally red 2005 Evo VIII SSL
