| Perrin Front Mount Intercooler |
What better way to keep things cooler, prep for an upcoming cam install, and improve turbo efficency than stuffing a massive Perrin FMIC in the nose of your Evo? The Perrin FMIC for the Evo comes with everything you need for direct, bolt-on installation -- it does not have the Perrin logo painted on it, but includes a stencil for those who are so inclined.
In the pictures below, you can see the progression from removing the front bumper, stock bumper beam, stock fmic, and literally reversing the process. I used a brand of lower intercooler pipe that shall remain nameless (due to the fact that it did not fit and then broke) that has been removed - JSC Speed does not carry these pipes any longer, so no worries there. Unfortunately, the offending product is visible in most of the pictures.
All in all this is a pretty easy install, once you get the bumper and under panel off. There is a little bit more lag, but the car is alot stronger when it starts to boost.
