Aaron's 2004 WRX: Tein H-Tech Springs
Tein
Springs Uninstalled Spring Installed
I thought it was time to get rid of some of the bad stock WRX wheel gap, and I decided that the Tein H-Tech springs were the way to go. The H-Tech springs lower the ride height of the stock WRX sedan 1.8” in the front and close to .7” in the rear. As you can see from the before and after picture, the lower height really adds a nice touch to the looks of the car and gives it a nice even front to rear ride height. Installing aftermarket springs is a bit more intrusive than most other bolt-ons, but if you have the right tools, take your time, and be careful, a successful spring install can be done in your home garage. After the install, in addition to the more attractive appearance, the new springs added to the handling performance of my car without compromising the OEM ride quality. I recommend the Tein H-Tech springs to anyone who is opposed to the ‘slammed’ look, and wants a nice low but subtle look and feel to their car.
