Perrin Turbo Inlet, MAF Hose, & TurboXS Intake Review Install

In an effort to increase engine response in the lower as well as upper rpm range the Perrin Turbo Inlet & Perrin MAF Hose as well as a TurboXS Short Ram Intake were installed. Previously the 03 WRX was running with the stock intake air box with a K&N drop in panel filter with the stock turbo inlet and MAF hose. Removing the stock air box and MAF hose was very easy but the removal of the stock turbo inlet was tuff but manageable. The intake manifold was not removed for this install which required hacking up the stock unit to remove it. The Perrin inlet hose was a tight fit and took some effort to get it oriented properly under the intake manifold. The T-Bolt Clamps (sold separately) were used because they are easier to tighten and are stronger then the standard clamps. Once the Perrin turbo inlet was properly hooked up the Perrin MAF hose and Turbo XS intake were a breeze to install.

The addition of these parts from Perrin and TurboXS drastically improved the response of the turbo through out the rpm range. The sound of the turbo became more noticeable and refined. The turbo spools about 400 rpm sooner then the stock set up and is a great addition to the 03 WRX. More information about these components can be found in the links above.
