JSC Speed Project 02 WRX: Greddy Profec B Spec II Boost Controller
Installing and tuning the Greddy Profec B Spec II can be a difficult task but if you follow the directions that Greddy provides it just takes time and patience. Above are pictures from the install on my 02 WRX that might help- the directions that Greddy provides are very good and these should help when install the unit on a WRX. The first step in the install starts with getting your directions and following them step by step- if you don't have the directions available to you here is the link direct from the Greddy website. I labeled each picture above with letter to make me referencing each much easier- they are not in any order.
The picture to the far right just shows how my install was slowed by the incorrect tube size included with the kit- be sure to be prepared with extra 4mm hose and also zip ties to get the job done and have everything nice and clean- zip tying wires and hoses far away from the turbo is always a good idea. This is a great boost controller but you must remember it is a universal part and not just for your WRX. The two pictures in the middle show the two spots I had my main unit mounted. It started next to my right leg to the left of the shifter- I wanted it out of sight but it is almost impossible to view the boost so it was later moved next to my cup holder. Putting in the dash took awhile- it is very important not to make the hole too big so the unit doesn't push through when you use the buttons. The picture to the far right shows my valve unit- I mounted it to the left of my top mount- lots of room and a very simple please to install the piece. The only problem with this location is the wires melted that run into the car- within hours of driving my car. Make sure to zip tie all wires as far away from the turbo as you can.

Above is a picture of the stock BOV- the directions say to cut the vacuum line to the pressure regular but what they mean in the BOV. This part can trick a person new to upgrading cars and also is the first step in the directions so cutting this line feel like the wrong thing but you are doing it correct. This line is where you install the three way fitting that comes with the kit. To the far right is a picture of the fuse box where i got my power source. The fuse box is below the steering wheel to the left.
