2004 Philly Auto Show

This year we saddled up and headed down to Philly for the annual Auto-Show. Overall it was a good show, although many of the cars there weren't particularly new models. This page will cover approximately 50% of the show, since our digital camera crapped out half way through.

Subaru had a pretty impressive display, with a couple of 04 STis and a fine example of their rally-car. Note the amount of gauges in the red STi w/ the Chargespeed Bodykit, and check out the wing on that rally car.

GM ran with their traditional 'stack-of-cars' mentality, overall we counted 30+ models with many new ones on the way. As you can see, the new Vette was looking good with its fixed headlights, the new Caddy roadster was impressive, and they had several concepts at the show. We looked around to make sure no one was looking before snapping a picture of the GM-Supercharged Saturn Ion. I have to admit, though, that it was nicely done. The last two pictures are of a new GM concept, you'd figure by 2004 they'd have something that flies, but it was still pretty cool.

Ford had a pretty impressive lineup as well. Most of our focus was directed to the GT and the newly-redesigned Lightning -- it was hard to get a shot of the new Mustang since it was surrounded by drooling fans.

We stopped to catch some shots of the NSX and the S2000.

Nissan brought along the Z and Z Roadster, the last shot is of an MR-S, there's something about those car's that's just nuts, like having a little man with 180 horsepower in your trunk.

The last part of the page is dedicated to bank-breakers, namely the Viper and the M3.
