The Alta Mini Performance Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) for the 2007+ R56 Mini Cooper S is a huge upgrade, designed to get more power from the 1.6L engine. The Alta bar and plate core FMIC is 3x bigger than the stock Cooper S intercooler but does not have the increase in turbo lag commonly associated with larger intercoolers.
