Ferrea's 02-06 Mini Cooper S valvetrain offerings includes retainers, valve springs, and spring seat locators. These products are all designed to be used in conjuction with each other, and are not interchangeable with stock or other aftermarket valvetrain components. The retainers are precision CNC machined from aerospace quality alloys. Ferrea's material for the valve springs is a premium grade alloy with special thermal treatment to withstand the high RPM demand from the powerful racing engines. Superior materials are used and high standards are followed in the production of the spring seat locators. These components combine to make a powerful valvetrain capable of handling Ferrea's upgraded valves. |

NOTES: These products are for Ferrea valves only, and requires the OEM seat locator in addition to the Ferrea seat locator. All the items listed below are required to run Ferrea valves in your 02-06 Mini Cooper S.

Ferrea Competition Plus Valves:
Ferrea Competition Plus Valves have built a reputation as the industry's most reliable extreme duty valve. Constructed from aerospace quality alloys, for high tensile strength, Ferrea valves undergo an exclusive two-step slow forging process to ensure proper grain flow and virtually eliminate any damage to the material structure. The valves are then heat treated and stress-relieved over a 48-hour period, which is the crucial base of our molecular integrity. These valves feature avionics-quality hard chrome along with a specially applied hard tip. |
Ferrea's engineering staff spends countless hours conducting flow bench tests to achieve an optimum balance of flow, velocity and efficiency in the design of this valve. As a result, these valves incorporate smoother radiuses and unique undercuts. The optional Super Alloy exhaust valves are designed for extreme racing conditions with high temperatures.
FITMENT: 2002-6 Mini Cooper S (Supercharged)
NOTES:
1. Head work is required for oversize valves, and reccomended for all valvetrain upgrades.
2. Your 02-06 Mini Cooper S requires 16 valves total, 8 intake & 8 exhaust.
3. All of the Ferrea valvetrain components listed above are necessary to properly run these valves, as well as OEM seat locators.
