Perfect for the budget minded Cooper owner, the StopTech Stage 1 kit is a great first step to take your 02-06 Mini's braking performance up a notch. The StopTech Stage 1 Upgrade Kit includes stainless steel lines, Axxis Ultimate performance pads, and three bottles of Motul RBF600 fluid. The front & rear stainless steel brake lines improve pedal feel and reduce the amount of time between applied pedal pressure and actual deceleration by preventing the expansion that the Mini Cooper's stock rubber flex lines allow. |
Putting Axxis Ultimate brake pads on all four corners helps provide you with higher resistance to fade, higher maximum operating temperature, and better initial bite to allow consistent deep braking into corners. Motul RBF600 DOT 4 brake fluid increases both wet and dry boiling points and prevents boiling under the most severe operating conditions. The StopTech Stage 1 Brake Upgrade Kit is recommended for the Mini that is primarily used on the street and might see the occasional autocross; if you plan on doing track events we suggest picking up a set of pads more appropriate for that task. These StopTech Stage 1 kits fit both the standard Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S.
Fitment Notes:
The 02-03 Cooper/Cooper S uses one kit, while the 04-06 Minis use a different part number.
StopTech upgrade kits do not fit 2006 Coopers equipped with the John Cooper Works brake kit. |
