Power Slot's slotted rotors for the 94-97 NA & 99-05 NB (01-05 w/Normal Suspension) Miata feature Power Slot's Vac-U-Slot design, which utilizes tapered, machined channels that run from the hub through the outside edge of the rotor. Vac-U-Slots allow a path for built up gasses to evacuate and help shed heat from your Miata's brake system. Combining Power Slot rotors with performance brake pads will create a reliable, consistent upgraded brake system for your NA or NB Miata. Because slotting doesn't compromise the integrity of the rotor(like drilling can) Power Slot rotors will last a very long time. Drilling a rotor can weaken it, causing cracking and a cracked rotor can be catastrophic. Drilling also reduces surface area for the pads to make contact with, which can reduce braking distance. |
| Power Slot rotors for the 94-05 (01-05 normal suspension) Miata are made from highest-quality original equipment manufacturer (OEM) rotor blanks, not of cheap off-shore castings. Power Slot's OEM grade castings have more cooling fins than their cheaper competitors, for improved strength and warping resistance. The Miata blanks are then machined at Power Slot to stringent tolerances for optimal quality control. Power Slot rotors meet or exceed all Mazda OEM specifications. Finally, Power Slot's Cadmium plating gives their rotors a bright silver finish and protects them from the elements - greatly reducing rusty rotors. |

Optional Cryo Treatment:
Power Slot's Cryo Treatment option is an excellent way to extend the life of your rotors. During the computer-controlled cryo process, Power Slot cools the rotors to -300 degrees, then slowly returns them to room temperature and heat cycles them. Cryo-treated Power Slot rotors have redistributed residual stress, which makes them resistant to warping and less prone to wear. |
| This process is for new Power Slot rotors only and can take 3-4 weeks so it is a special order process with NO CANCELLATIONS. We sometimes have cryo rotors on the shelf, so check with us before ordering. |

SportStop rotors have a finish on the rotor to help prevent glazing and improve performance under both wet and dry conditions. The area of the StopTech SportStop rotor that doesn't make contact with the pads is also finished with a durable black coating so your Miata's rotors stay looking clean and corrosion free. |
