Carrillo Connecting Rods for the Legacy GT:
Fatigue is the major cause of connecting rod failure. Carrillo uses proprietary steel, manufactured and forged to their own custom specifications. Carrillo connecting rods are fully machined to guarantee the removal of all surface imperfections in the forging. After heat treatment, each connecting rod is 100% magnaflux inspected and hardness checked, then machined to final size. Each set of rods is balanced and then shot peened to achieve the ultimate in strength and fatigue properties.

| Carrillo bolts are also designed specifically for the Legacy GT in order to ensure high strength and durability. Carrillo produces the H-Beam connecting rod for high performance applications and the Pro-A beam for less demanding and more economically oriented applications. Both the H-Beam and the Pro-A rods are manufactured in the California using a proprietary chrome/nickel/vanadium alloy, denoted specifically as Carrilloloy, a steel mixture. The difference is that the Pro-A beam requires 1/5 less machine time and is manufactured in large quantities to make it more cost effective. |

The Crower Legacy GT Connecting Rods are machined exclusively from USA made, 4340 Chromoly steel on state-of-the-art CNC machining centers. The I-beam design of Crower rods eliminates excess material and gives uniform strength through the entire piece.

Eagle's Subaru connecting rods are made from 4340 steel, x-rayed, magnafluxed, sonic tested, and shot-peened to ensure optimal quality and strength. They are packaged in weight-matched sets that are within +/- 1 gram end to end. The Eagle connecting rods for the Legacy GT undergo a 2-piece forging process in China and are then shipped to the US for final machining and testing; making for a cheaper rod that is durable and precise. These rods include ARP 3/8" 2000 rod bolts for extensive ability to handle power and boost. 5.137" rod length.
