1. I tried to place an order and I got a message saying my card was declined, but my bank/credit card company says you charged my card anyway, what's going on?
This usually occurs when you enter an address that does not match the billing address that your bank or credit card issuer has on their records. Our system is set up to decline transactions where the addresses do not match. We do this to help deter fraudulent transactions (if you need to have your order shipped to an address other than the one that appears on your bill, please see the next question down). Here's the short version of why this occurs and what happens to rectify the "charge": By entering your credit card number you have entered enough information for your bank to authorize the transaction and your money is offered to JSC Speed. Then our authorization company verifies that the address you entered matches the address in the card issuer's database. If the addresses match then JSC Speed accepts the funds and we are all happy. But, if the addresses do not match then JSC Speed will not accept the money and the funds are put on "hold" by your bank. This hold will stay in place for 3-5 business days (usually), and then will automatically be released and the funds will again be available to you. At no time during this process does JSC Speed possess your money, and there is little to nothing that JSC Speed can do to have your bank release your money sooner. If 3-5 days have elapsed and the holds are still in place please call your bank and/or JSC Speed to report the situation.
2. I need my parts shipped to my college/mechanic/work. What do I need to do to make this happen?
We do not allow shipping to unconfirmed/unverified address to help protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. We have an Alternate Address Form (AAF) that you can complete and send in to us. To download this form as a Word Document click here. If you want a PDF instead click here. This completed form allows us to verify that you are in possession of the card you are trying to use and that you are indeed authorizing the order to be shipped to an address other than the billing address on record. Once we have a completed AAF on file for you we can ship to the designated address whenever you order using the same credit card information. This information is kept confidential and properly disposed of after a certain period of time.
3. Can you ship my item without a signature required and/or have FedEx leave my item(s) on my back porch, under the picnic table with the label facing westerly?
JSC Speed can not guarantee that your request to have an item left without a signature will be honored. Many of the products we sell are of a high value and all of them are insured fot the full retail price; FedEx requires us to use their Indirect Signature Required (ISR) option for items with high values. If no one is home on FedEx's first delivery attempt, the delivery driver will leave a tag on your door that you can sign and leave for them to take in exchange for leaving your item(s). Also, if you have requested a specific location for the package, or made a request to have us or FedEx call you or look for you next door or something else alont those line, we can not ensure that any of those requests will be honored. JSC Speed can make a similar request to FedEx, but they do not have to honor it.
4. How do I pay through PayPal?
All you need to do is click the check out tab and directions will follow which will help you join PayPal (for free) and allow you to pay using a credit card. Or you can use PayPal as just a gateway and NOT join.
5. How long will it take for my purchase to get to me?
Processing usually takes one business day, the rest will depend on your shipment option and availability of products. Most of the items on our site come from our facility in PA. If items are not in stock here they may be shipped directly from the manufacturer. If your order requires special attention, please contact us to ensure that the items you are ordering are immediately available. We make every effort to not let orders sit on backorder for extended periods of time, though sometimes this is unavoidable. 6. What should I do if there is my product is received damaged?
Do not install or tamper with the product at all and do not discard the shipping box or label. If possible, take photos of the damage. Contact us via phone or email to notify us of the damage and we will make the necessary steps to file a claim with the shipping company and get you a replacement part as quickly as possible.
7. I wanted a blue one and you sent me a red one. How can I exchange this hideous thing?
Call us right away! We make every attempt to ship exactly what you ordered, but errors do happen. To make the exchange process quick and painless, call us as soon as you realize there has been an error (if you checked your email and we invoiced you for the wrong part call us right away, there may be time to fix the error). Again, call us right now, if this scenario pertains to you.
8. What should I do if I find better prices somewhere else on the web?
Contact Justin through e-mail (justin@jscspeed.com) and send him a link to the place you found a better price, be specific in regards to which exact product you are referring to. He will look at your submission and determine if it is all possible for us to meet or beat this price and return your e-mail promptly. You can also see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
9. What should I do if I don't know exactly what I want or if I need help with my car?
First, you can go to our Forum and allow our customers to help out with your problem. But if you want a faster solution then contact us by e-mail or phone and we will answer any questions you might have.
10. What should I do if JSC Speed doesn't the carry the product I want?
E-mail us with your request. We may have the product you are looking for, just not on our online store. If we don't have it then we will make efforts to find the product for you. We can get anything that any of the brands we carry make, so just let us know what you need.
11. How do I place an international order? My credit cards and PayPal don't work your site.
International orders are taken on a case-by-case basis. There are additional shipping charges, and delivery time is often lengthy (Canada and Mexico being exceptions). For all international orders, JSC Speed requires a wire-transfer or money order, no exceptions. To place your international order, please email one of the sales associates listed on our Contact page. Include your complete shipping address, the year, make and model of the car and the specific part numbers of the items you are interested in. We will make every effort to reply in a timely manner. 12. Do you ship to APO addresses?
Absolutely. Though some items are to large to ship APO (exhausts). Contact us for more information.
13. How can I get pictures of my car on www.JSCspeed.com?
Go to the customer rides section and when we are looking for new pictures there will be a submission link for pictures and a description of your car.
14. Will JSC Speed sponsor my car?
JSC Speed does have a sponsorship program. We accept submission, and once a year review customer application and select a few lucky people to sponsor. Do not call us looking for free parts or services. If you are interested send a brief email to request our sponsorship application packet. The packet will have all the info you need to apply.
15. Does JSC Speed do installs or tuning?
JSC Speed does not do customer installations or tuning. We may be able to direct you to a facility that can do these things; just let us know what you need to have done and where you are located.
