Tein pillowball (spherical bearing) upper mounts are each designed for vehicle specific applications. They are designed to keep the positioning of the shock absorber shaft as close to stock as possible, thus retaining OEM standards and while still offering drastic performance improvement. By replacing the rubber stock mounts with pillowball mounts, the driver gets a more positive connection between chassis and body and there is less flex, which means more consistency and grip.
Tein's spherical bearings are made by NMB; the world leader in performance bearings and fittings. The seats are constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum for maximum strength and light weight. The front mounts are camber adjustable, enabling you to make quick adjustments for different suspension settings and tire conditions. The rear mounts are not adjustable. Tein upper mounts also feature pre-installed elongated studs, which fit in the OEM mounting holes and leave enough thread for aftermarket strut bars. Tein pillowball mounts are designed for use with either the stock suspension or Tein SS and Basic coilover systems. Fitment with other brands aftermarket coilovers systems is not guaranteed. |
