Connecting rods are one of the most important components in your high performance engine. It is important that the rods you put in your engine are made from the highest quality materials and are manufactured correctly. Eagle is well know for the quality connecting rods they produce. Each rod is multi-stage heat-treated, x-rayed, sonic tested, magnafluxed, 100 percent machined, and shot-peened to stress-relieve the metal. | H Beam Rods: Manley H-Beam rods are a lower cost alternative to the Turbo Tuff series, they are partially produced in China and then finished in the US to reduce costs but retain quality. These rods are an excellent alternative to Eagle rods, both of which should be considered when buying either one. Manley H Beam rods are weight matched within +/- 1.5 grams of each other and both ends of the rod are rounded perfectly. These are the perfect rods for street applications pushing up to 600 wheel horsepower. |
| Turbo Tuff I Beam Rods: Manley Turbo Tuff I Beam Rods are made using forged 4340 aircraft quality vacuum degassed material. Manley Turbo Tuff rods are machined in house, in the USA, to ensure the highest quality product. Each rod is shot-peened after machining and magnafluxed. The bores are round with no taper and these rods use APR 2000 cap screws for ultimate strength. |
| Pro Series Rods: Pro series rods are the strongest rod manley offers and are also made of 4340 aircraft quality material. They are fully machined to produce the lightest rod with the most holding power possible. These rods are designed to be used with cars making 1300+ horsepower. They are shot peened and 100% magnafluxed and use 3/8" ARP 2000 cap fasteners. |

For over 25 years, Crower has been manufacturing top of the line connecting rods. Only the finest, USA made 4340 chromoly (chromiummolybdenum) steel is used in the production of Crower steel billet connecting rods. Every rod is fully CNC machined to remove all surface imperfections, 100% magnaflux inspected and checked for surface hardness, then machined to final size to exacting tolerances within 1.1000" of an inch.

Pro-Super A beam rods bridge the gap between Pro-H and standard Pro-A rods, designed for use in mid to high horsepower and high boost turbocharged and supercharged applications. Pro-Super A beam rods allow for more horsepower and higher RPMs with the advantage of a reduced windage design. Pro-Super A beam rods for the Evo ship with standard 3/8th inch WMC cap bolts and are rated to 800whp, they are great for cars that see both street and race driving. |

Considering the best overall performance of the part, combined with the least amount of weight, the H-beam is Carrillo's strongest, most durable design available. Carrillo H-beam rods are recommended for race applications where no compromise in performance is possible. Pro-H rods for the Evo available with 3/8th inch cap bolts in either standard WMC or Carrillo specific design which can be retorqued as many times as you want and will not need to be replaced. These rods are for 1000+whp race only machines and are not optimal for street use. |
