For high-powered applications EXEDY offers Multi plate clutches. These are designed for hot street action as well as drag, road, and rally racing. All of our multi plate clutches come with a lightweight chromoly steel flywheel, and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Depending on the application, both strap drive and lug drive models are available. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance. The multi plate clutches are rated up to 500+ foot pounds of torque at the flywheel. Available in sprung and unsprung designs with carbon and cerametallic discs below.

MANUFACTURER'S NOTE:Installing a sports / performance clutch to suit the vehicle, Mitsubishi Evo can transfer harmonic transmitted noises from the engine to the gearbox. This may also cause gearbox rattle. These transmitted noises will in no way effect the performance of the clutch or vehicle and is accepted in the performance industry where engine / clutch modifications have been carried out. These noises are also applicable to single plate
cerametallic clutch applications.
PLEASE NOTE: These kits do NOT include a new throwout bearing. You must replace this bearing when installing a new clutch, and we urge you to use a genuine Mitsubishi part. This is sold at the bottom of this page.

Sport Pressure Plate Stage 4 Cerametallic Twin-Disc Sprung Clutch Kit:
This kit features a slight increase in pedal feel over stock. The twin-disc cerametallic design is rated to 420lb-ft at the flywheel for drag racing and 520lb-ft at the flywheel for road racing. This kit includes a chromoly flywheel. For increased holding capacity over the Exedy Sport kit, with harsher engagement and more pedal effort, try the 'Wasabi' kit sold below.
TORQUE CAPACITY: 420lb-ft. flywheel for drag racing, 520lb-ft flywheel for road racing.

Wasabi Pressure Plate Stage 4 Twin-Disc Cerametallic Sprung Clutch Kit:
This kit features a large increase in the required pedal effort from stock. The pedal is considerably stiffer than the Sport Pressure Plate, but the trade off is increased holding capacity. Exedy's Wasabi twin-disc cerametallic design is rated to 505lb-ft at the flywheel for drag racing and 625lb-ft at the flywheel for road racing. This kit includes a chromoly flywheel. If you're not making this much power and don't want the increase in pedal pressure, we suggest the Sport kit, sold above.
TORQUE CAPACITY: 505 lb-ft. flywheel for drag racing, 625 lb-ft flywheel for road racing.

This kit has very harsh engagement and some noise, but it can hold! Rated at 540 flywheel torque for drag racing and 675 flywheel torque for road-race, this is a very tough clutch. The solid hub design makes for harsher engagement and more stress on the drivetrain as less shock is absorbed. The carbon disc is much lighter than a regular disc; this makes for quicker shifts with less chatter. Carbon clutches must be heated up for full torque capacity. We don't reccomend using this kit on the street due to harsher engagement and increased vibration.

This kit has very harsh engagement and some noise, but it can hold! Rated at 815 flywheel torque for drag racing and 1015 flywheel torque for road-race, this is a very tough clutch. The solid hub design makes for harsher engagement and more stress on the drivetrain as less shock is absorbed. The carbon disc is much lighter than a regular disc; this makes for quicker shifts with less chatter. This is a triple-disc clutch, which improves hodling capacity but makes for harsher engagement and lots of drivetrain strees. Carbon clutches must be heated up for full torque capacity. Expect fast,harsh engagement and lots of vibration with this clutch. Race use only.
TORQUE CAPACITY: 815 lb-ft. flywheel for drag racing, 1015 lb-ft flywheel for road racing.
