Carbing's Aluminum Under Panel for the Lancer Evolution VIII & IX (including MR versions) is a great replacement for the plastic panels, and it only weighs 15 lbs. The Carbing Aluminum Panel, fitted to your Evo with 6 bolts will create more downforce and will improve cooling of fluid operating tempertures. Please read the fitment notes below carefully. FITMENT NOTES:
1. This panel requires removal of the factory under brace (or you can cut a 2" x 2" square in the panel to make it fit).
2. ACD (05+ Evo 8 and all Evo IX models) Cars: The bracket interferes with the ACD hardline, you will either need to notch the bracket, or slightly bend the line for clearance.
3. Aftermarket FMICs: You will most likely have to remove the FMIC for initial installation, as the mounting bracket attaches behind the intercooler. It can be attached w/o removing the stock FMIC, however. If your aftermarket FMIC hangs low enough to require trimming of the stock under panel, you may need to modify the mounting bracket to make the Carbing underpanel fit.
4. This panel will have to be removed for oil changes, etc.
