87-92 Toyota Supra Turbo Head Gaskets

Toyota's 7MGTE engines are notorious for blowing head gaskets due to their faulty factory gasket design and inadequate stock head bolts. Replacing the head gasket on your 7M motor and using ARP head bolts or head studs is a sure fire way to guarantee everything will stay together under boost. The head gaskets on this page are constructed of multi-layer steel for the ultimate seal; combined with head studs or bolts, you'll have a package that will stay sealed, even under high boost.

In some cases, the engine will require machining due to warping on the head or block. Find out how much needs to be trimmed in thousandths of an inch, and convert it to millimeters (40 thousandths of an inch is equal to one 1mm). You need to compensate for this amount with the gasket width -- a stock gasket is 1.0mm. Convert the total amount that was trimmed from your block and head to millimeters and add it to 1mm and you'll have the gasket size you need. Try to stay as close to this number, since it is crucial in order to run the proper compression. If you don't understand this, ask your machine shop or engine builder and they should be able to provide this number.
