08-10 Subaru WRX Tein Coilovers

Tein's Basic coilovers for the WRX are an entry-level setup that feature ride-height adjustment but do not offer adjustable shock damping. Basics are valved for street use and are an affordable, balanced solution to purchasing shocks and springs or sleeve-type coilovers. Tein Basics feature a steel twin-tube design, with adjustable spring perches and utilize the OEM suspension mounts. Because the Tein Basic coilovers are a complete setup, they offer increased stroke over a stock-type setup or spring and shock package, which increases shock life and prevents the 'bottoming out' associated with traditional lowering springs. This kit is also completely rebuildable, making it a suitable long-term solution for most styles of performance street driving.

Tein Super Street Coilovers with pillowball upper mounts (SS-P) are designed for street use but offer a camber-adjustable front upper mount for improved control, road feel, and adjustment. These coilovers are ride-height, damping force, and front camber adjustable for a complete street package with performance orientation. They feature steel construction, twin-tube shocks, and standardized springs for customization. All Tein coilover suspensions are rebuildable, making them a long-term solution. SS-P coilovers are compatible with Tein's Electronic Damping Force Controller (EDFC) for in-cabin stiffness adjustment.

This optional product makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force by controlling a motor installed in the shock absorber while being seated in the driver's seat. Since the damping force can be manually controlled with ease to meet different situations, the driver can enjoy variations in the suspension setting. Go from living your life a quarter mile at a time to Sunday cruising at a buttons press. The EDFC can control the 16 different stiffness settings and can also be put into 32 setting mode which adjusts in half-step increments for the purists and control freaks. The compact (approximately 3.5" wide x 1" tall x 4" deep) control box is easy to mount, making it a great add-on.
