08-10 Subaru WRX King Bearings

Your high performance engine build deserves the most advanced internal components designed to withstand the highest loads and RPMs. So what makes King Engine Bearings track tough and street smart? All King bearings are designed with the closest wall tolerances in the industry, with all shells matched to 0.0001". Greater rod bearing height improves bearing-to-bore contact and heat transfer, greatly reducing spin potential at high RPMs. Utilizing enlarged and chamfered oil holes for equal distribution under heavy load, King bearings are built tough enough for even the highest temperatures at the fastest engine speeds. Versatility is the name of the game which is why King offers the industry's widest selection of sizing including special clearance options for advanced custom builds.


XPG Bearings:King's new XPG bearings are specifically engineered to solve premature bearing failure caused by low oil pressure or oil starvation that has plagued high horsepower Subaru EJ engines. To improve oil flow, oil slots on the King XPG bearings are replaced with oil holes for better oil distribution in the groove and more consistent oil flow. Fully grooved number three main bearings enable 360° oiling to number two and number three rod bearings. King XPG bearings feature a unique lug design that eliminates the conventional lug recess so no oil escapes and full oil pressure is maintained. In addition, narrowed bearing lengths help eliminate high-radius cranks. With enhanced tri-metal copper lead construction with nickel barrier and SecureBond adhesion, King XPG bearings have a 20 percent higher load capacity and better resist surface fatigue.

XP Bearings: XP bearings are designed for dedicated track applications or street cars that may see extended circle track racing or endurance events. Formed from enhanced tri-metal copper lead construction, XP bearings utilize a nickel barrier fused with a SecureBond adhesion process. XP bearings feature a 15%-30% greater load capacity than traditional bearings and 0.0005" matallurgically enhanced and hardened performance overlay for extended fatigue resistance. XP main bearings are 1/2 grooved for uncompromised lower shell load capacity.

King Rod Bearings

When doing rods and pistons, it's a good idea to replace the rod bearings as well. Proper support via main bearings is crucial to prevent oscillations and wear that can damage the crankshaft and other components if the motor should move out of balance. King HP or XP rod bearings will prevent fatigue, failure, and reduce drivetrain stress.

King Main Bearings

Proper support via upgraded main bearings is crucial to prevent oscillations and wear that can damage the crankshaft and other components. Bearings with extra oil clearance will absorb the stress of higher horsepower motors greater, but will see increased wear during start up. We recommend these be purchased by experienced professionals only.
