05-09 Legacy GT Perrin Front Mount Intercooler
This is a massive bar-and-plate front-mount intercooler (FMIC) from Perrin Performance. It includes polished aluminum intercooler piping, a boxed-steel replacement bumper beam, massive bar and plate core, and instructions. The intercooler piping is flanged for a Legacy GT blow-off valve, so there is no welding required. This is an excellent supporting modification for a big turbo on your 05-09 Legacy GT.
Perrin's LGT FMIC mounts to a powder coated boxed steel replacement bumper beam with 1/2" thick mounting plates, so there is no cutting of the stock structural components required. While exceptionally sturdy, this beam is designed for off-road use only. This Perrin FMIC for your LGT will support more than 1000 HP and have less than 1/4 psi drop across the core at 20 psi., improving throttle response.
The Perrin core and piping kits are sold separately making for cheaper replacement should you damage either. Make sure you order both for a complete kit.
- Notes:
- You will need a WRX/STI turbo to use this kit as this will NOT fit the stock turbo.
- You will have to trim some of the front bumper plastic.
- Intercooler Dimensions: 28" x 9.25" x 3.5"
- You can reuse your stock blow-off valve.
- A short-ram intake is required and sold separately.
- You cannot retain your factory fog lights.
- Piping kit & intercooler core are SOLD SEPERATELY but you will need BOTH.
