The Brian Crower 05-09 Legacy GT stroker kit incorporates a 83mm monster stroke and will take your EJ25 up to an amazing 2.71L with an 102mm bore, or 2.61L with a 100mm bore. Brian Crower's EJ25 stroker kits utilizes premium steel billet connecting rods. Also included in the Brian Crower stroker kits are custom CP pistons, high quality steel alloy wrist pins and a full ring pack and buttons. Brian Crower's Econo EJ25 rods are rated up to 600 maximum horsepower, while Pro Series EJ25 rods rated to 800+ horsepower. Not only will a Stroker Kit give your 2.5L Legacy GT more displacement, it will also improve the strength of your bottom end, allowing you to run high boost levels without worry.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a do-it-yourself project, it will require removal and reinstallation of the engine and all of its major components (timing belt, oil pump, etc.) In addition the block must be machined, cleaned, and bored to fit the new components. Expect to spend around $1500 on machine shop labor, plus whatever the installation and removal expenses may be.
