05-09 Legacy GT 5 Speed Lightweight Flywheels
A lightweight flywheel is a great addition to any car, and even more so on turbocharged applications. A lighter flywheel drastically reduces the rotating mass attached to your crankshaft, allowing your car to rev and accelerate faster. On a turbocharged car like 05-09 Legacy GT, faster revs mean a quicker turbo spool to get you into that 'sweet spot' faster.
SPEC aluminum flywheels are CNC machined and exceed SFI standards for high stress racing applications. The SPEC lightweight flywheels are recommended for highly modified street or racing vehicles. The body of the flywheel is made of tempered aluminum, either 6061 T6 or 2024 T3, for ultimate strength and lightest possible weight. The 1/4 inch thick friction plate is a 1050 high carbon alloy, for incredible durability with any friction disc material, even iron. The plates are secured to the body by aerospace fasteners. The ring gears are pressed on and secured with grade 10 fasteners. They gear is also heat treated for longevity.

The ACT Streetlite flywheel is made from premium quality, forged chrome moly steel, CNC machined, and balanced. The ACT Streetlite also features an induction-hardened integral ring gear and is durable enough and thick enough to be resurfaced. Certified to SFI Specification 1.1. This is a great flywheel for your daily driven LGT if you are looking to increase performance without sacrificing driveability.
The ACT Prolite flywheel is made using premium quality, forged chrome-moly steel that is then CNC machined then balanced. The ACT Prolite flywheel has more material removed from the outer rim than the Streetlite to get it down to it's super-light, CEL causing 9.6lbs. If you are planning to daily drive your LGT on the street, in traffic, you do not want this light of a flywheel. The Prolite is a RACE ONLY flywheel. The Prolite also features an induction-hardened integral ring gear, and is durable and thick enough to be resurfaced. Certified to SFI Specification 1.1.
