Hawk HPS (High Performance Street) pads offer a tremendous improvement in braking distance over the Subaru's OEM pads. Hawk's unique Ferro-Carbon formula was developed for street performance using the safety and quality of Aerospace and Motorsports severe-duty friction technology. The HPS compound offers a high coefficient of friction and can provide you 20-40% more stopping power and improved resistance to fading over Subarus's OEM replacement pads. HPS's Ferro-Carbon compound provides your Subaru with increased stopping power, long-life, less dust and reduced noise compared to other after market performance brake pads. All Hawk Performance products provide a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring products to be free of defects from manufacturer's workmanship and materials. Hawk HPS pads are designed primarily for a daily driven Subaru but will hold up under light autocross duty as well.

Hawk HP+ pads are made for the Subaru that gets driven to and on the track. The HP+ offers increased friction over the HPS, at the price of a little more noise (squealing) and more dust. Brake squeal is not uncommon in the HP+ due to the higher temperatures required for their peak friction, but once warmed up, this higher operating temperature will consistently allow your Subaru to brake more quickly, with minimal fade. These pads are excellent for the occasional HPDE/track day or for the very competitive autocross driver.

Hawk Blue 9012 compound pads are for the dedicated race/track Subaru only. Hawk's 9012s utilize a medium/high torque and high temperature compound optimized for repeated heavy braking associated with track use. Tracked Subarus equipped with the Hawk Blues will see consistent, fade-free braking, but they do take some time to get up to temperature and will make lots of noise and dust (not that you care when you're on the track!). Blues are the #1 selling brake pad material for SCCA Club racers.

Need something more than what the Hawk Blue has to offer? The HT series is designed to withstand high acceleration rates that are present in road and track racing.

The Hawk HT-10 are superior road racing pads. With their good torque rating they are a great introductory racing pad. The dust is also less corrosive than most racing pads.

The HT-14 is big brother to Hawk's extremely successful HT-10 compound. It has very high average torque output, slightly rising over its temperature range, and an aggressive initial bite. Even with its high torque output, the HT-14 retains good modulation and release characteristics and moderate rotor wear.  This is a serious pad offering serious braking capability.

The Hawk DTC-70 is the most serious member of the "Dynamic Torque Control" race pad family, with an average level of friction among the highest available and an incredibly linear pressure to torque relationship. The result gives the driver an unparalleled ability to modulate brake torque at the limit of tire adhesion, while keeping pedal effort low.

The DTC-60 series has a slightly lower friction coefficient and bite compared to DTC-70 but will last longer.

The DTC-30 compound was designed for dirt track racing, where steady and controllable yet strong braking force is needed. Slightly less extreme braking in exchange for longest life of the DTC series. Requires very little heating up to be efficient.

Ferodo DS2500 pads are for the Subaru driver that participates in autocrosses and occasional track days. The DS2500s have 35% less compressibility than competitive products, giving it very good pedal feel and modulation characteristics. The DS2500 has an average friction level of approximately 0.50 which remains constant at any speed, and at any temperature up to 1,000°F. Evos equipped with DS2500s can expect friction levels higher than Hawk HPS, but lower than a true racing pad like the Hawk Blue 9012. Because these pads are such an aggressive compound, you can expect a fair amount of dust, and will require a stop or two to come up to operating temperature, so they may not be ideal for the daily driven Subaru.

The Ferodo DS3000 is a full race pad for dedicated track Subarus that offer a very high average (0.62) coefficient of friction, flat torque curve, and very good modulation characteristics. DS3000 is a race-only compound, and is NOT to be used on street driven Subaru.

Project Mu Type NS brake pads are developed specifically for street use. Guaranteed to outperform OEM pads, Project Mu NS street pads are reliable in any weather or road conditions. NS street pads give outstanding initial stopping power that is of prime importance on the street. Made from an Asbestos-free brake compound, NS street pads also have very minimal dust and very low squeal properties.

Project Mu B-Force Sport pads are designed to improve overall braking performance on street cars. The B-Force brake pad is developed for street and light track use where initial stopping power and resistance to fade is of prime importance. In addition to reducing brake dust and squeal, these economical long-lasting pads are designed for minimal rotor wear.
