05-10 Scion tC Tein Coilovers

Tein's Basic coilovers for the 05-10 Scion tC are an entry-level setup that feature ride-height adjustment but do not offer adjustable shock damping. Basics are valved for street use and are an affordable, balanced solution to purchasing shocks and springs or sleeve-type coilovers. Tein Basics feature a steel twin-tube design, with adjustable spring perches and utilize the OEM suspension mounts. Because the Tein Basic coilovers are a complete setup, they offer increased stroke over a stock-type setup or spring and shock package, which increases shock life and prevents the 'bottoming out' associated with traditional lowering springs. This kit is also completely rebuildable, making it a suitable long-term solution for most styles of performance street driving.

Super Street Coilovers offer the same ride-height adjustability of the Basic coilovers but also feature 16-setting damping force adjustment for increased tuneability. Designed for street use, Tein SS coilovers can be stiffened or softened and raised or lowered to meet your day-to-day demands. SS coilovers are designed specifically for the US market, so fitment and quality is excellent. The kit features twin-tube shocks, standardized straight springs, and steel construction for durability and quality. The kits can also be rebuilt and revalved by Tein, making them a long-term suspension solution. The SS coilovers utilize the OEM upper mounts for simple installation. Adding the Tein EDFC will broaden the dynamic adjustment range of the SS dampers.

The front, upper pillow ball mounts with the SS-P allow you to adjust camber by loosening four hex screws on each upper mount, which then allow you to physically adjust the camber of each wheel, and easily re-tighten the screws when finished. Camber and toe change drastically on Macpherson style suspension setups when the car is lowered. Although toe is probably something you're not going to be able to correct without an alignment machine, camber can easily be adjusted with the SS-P's upper mounts with simple hand tools.

This optional product makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force by controlling a motor installed in the shock absorber while being seated in the driver's seat. Since the damping force can be manually controlled with ease to meet different situations, the driver can enjoy variations in the suspension setting. Go from living your life a quarter mile at a time to Sunday cruising at a buttons press. The EDFC can control the 16 different stiffness settings and can also be put into 32 setting mode which adjusts in half-step increments for the purists and control freaks. The compact (approximately 3.5" wide x 1" tall x 4" deep) control box is easy to mount, making it a great add-on.
