Brian Crower cams for the 2003-2005 Evo 8 (non-MIVEC) and the 2006 Evo 9 (MIVEC) are manufactured to exacting precision. Brian Crower high performance Evo camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure accuracy and tolerances to within .02mm. Every Brian Crower Evo 8 and 9 camshaft profile has been prototyped and dyno tested for proven horsepower results prior to being produced. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Brian Crower produces first-rate cams at affordable prices.

All Brian Crower Evo 8 and 9 cams are checked on a high speed, sub-micron accuracy measuring gauge. Brian Crower uses an Adcole Camshaft Measuring System with individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe. This instrument has .01 micron resolution, taking one datum point each 1/10th of a degree or 3,600 data points per revolution. Up to 200 Brian Crower cams per hour are checked for errors in rise and for any chattermarks.

Both the BC Evo 8 & the Evo 9 cams are available in 272°/272° and 280°/280° specifications. We suggest using Brian Crower Evo valve spring and retainer kits for the 272° cams, and it is required with the Evo 280°/280° cams. Don't let the pricing fool you, these are excellent cams for your Evo 8 or 9 at a great price.

Brian Crower 272 degree cams have a short duration for nice street manners, and a slight lope at idle. Excellent all purpose spec cams. These cams can be used with stock valve springs and retainers, though the Brian Crower kit is recommended.

Brian Crower 280 degree cams have a longer duration profile and added rpm potential. Intended for fully built engines, Tuning and ECU mods recommended. Requires kit BC0100.

Designed for high rpm, Brian Crower valve springs are wound from only the highest grade, super clean, chrome silicone alloy and feature proprietary processing procedures for consistent pressures. Brian Crower titanium retainers are CNC machined from 6AL4V round bar titanium to exacting tolerances. An excellent product at a great price. We recommend using valve springs and retainers when upgrading cams.
