Evo 8 & 9 Clutch Masters Twin Disc Clutch Kits

For those Evo 8 & 9 owners looking to push their car to the limit and needing a clutch that can get them there, look no further. Clutch Masters offers the FX600, FX700 & FX850 twin-disc clutch kits for the Evolution 8 & 9. These units convert the clutch assembly from a pull-type design to a push-type for improved clutch actuation and pedal feel. Clutch Masters' Twin-Disc kits reduce rotating mass and allow for quicker and more precise shifts. If you are serious about motorsports, these setups are a must have. Twin-disc clutch kits can be daily driven, but we generally suggest a single disc for a dedicated daily driven Evo.

The Clutch Masters FX600 is perfect for very high horsepower 03-06 Evo 8 & 9s that are driven to and at the track. The FX600 features a twin discs setup made of an organic Kevlar mix. The FX600 disc material makes for a smoother pedal feel than most twin disc setups and is ideal for street driving a car that a single disc setup just won't hold up on. The FX600 includes an aluminum flywheel with a replaceable friction surface that allows for easy replacement when changing the clutch discs.

Clutch Masters FX700 is more of a race only setup than the FX600. The FX700 uses a ceramic bronze material for the friction surface which is very abrasive and has exceptional grip. Pedal feel will be very harsh and aggressive; definitely not ideal for a street driven 03-06 Evolution 8 & 9. Like the FX600, the FX700 kit also includes an aluminum flywheel with a replaceable friction surface that allows for easy replacement when changing the clutch discs.

The Clutch Masters FX850 is for 03-06 Evolution 8 & 9s making between 600 & 1200hp. The FX850 is a serious track clutch system and is really suggested for any car that will see any street time. The FX850 is very similar to the FX700, but uses a larger surface area and different friction materials. The kit comes in two disc options: A Kevlar/ceramic combo for smoother engagement, or for a more bite (with a side of harshness) the ceramic/ceramic discs. Either clutch pack in the FX850 will have a harsh, immediate on-off engagement. The FX850 is recommended for race use only.
