StopTech Power Slot Plus rotors are manufactured to the highest tolerances of safety and quality. Slotting, unlike drilling, will not compromise the structural integrity of the rotor; drilling weakens a rotor and may cause stress points that can lead to cracking and failure. Drilled rotors also lose considerable surface area compared to slotted rotors, which means a smaller surface area for pad-to-rotor contact. StopTech Power Slot rotors are designed using the highest quality OEM replacement blanks. All machining is done in-house to StopTech Power Slot's application specific tolerances to ensure optimum quality control. The final touch is a military-spec cadmium plating that gives StopTech Power Slot rotors their bright silver finish and protects the rotor from debris. Improve the performance and extend the life of your StopTech Power Slot rotors with the Cryo option. This one-time cryogenic treatment is a computer controlled process where the metal is cooled gradually to -300 degrees Fahrenheit and then slowly returned to room temperature. The final step is a unique heat cycle process to guarantee long life and added durability. Although not apparent to the naked eye, the improvements to the rotor are significant. The cryogenic treatment process redistributes residual stress in the rotor giving it an extra level of protection against warping. Cryo rotors are available on a special order only basis and can take in excess of 4-6 weeks lead time.
