07-09 Mazdaspeed3 Cobb Downpipe

Cobb Tuning has outdone itself with the Cobb 3" Downpipe, replacing the most restrictive element in the Mazdaspeed3 exhaust system. Considerable effort was spent designing a flow path with the fewest number of direction changes and minimal degrees of bend in order to eliminate all possible restrictions. This beautifully fabricated downpipe delivers significantly improved exhaust flow, resulting in faster turbo response time and power gains across the entire rev range, while still protecting the environment with its highly efficient custom catalytic converter.

The Cobb Tuning downpipe incorporates both a downpipe and a racepipe into a single unit, a feat never attempted on the Mazdaspeed3 until now. To combat excessive engine flex, Cobb has engineered a specially built braided steel flex joint designed with longevity and durability in mind. Because Cobb keeps the OEM style donut gasket connection, the Cobb Tuning downpipe will mate perfectly with a stock or any stock compatible aftermarket catback exhaust. Cobb also provides two 02 sensor bungs to retain the factory sensors as well as an additional bellmouth bung to accommodate a wideband sensor for use when tuning or data logging. No other downpipe currently on the market can match the quality and extra features Cobb has packed into this single unit.
