06-10 Honda Civic Si Lightened Flywheels
A lightweight flywheel is a great addition to any car, especially turbocharged vehicles. A lighter flywheel drastically reduces the rotating mass attached to your crankshaft, allowing your car to rev and accelerate faster. Turbocharged cars will benefit from a quicker spool as well.
There are a variety of flywheel styles and weights available for the 06-10 Civic Si. You may want to consider the ACT Streetlite steel flywheel for daily driven and street cars, as it is lighter, but not so light as be awkward to drive on a daily basis. The ACT Streetlite flywheel is made from premium quality, forged chrome moly steel, CNC machined, and balanced. The ACT Streetlite also features an induction-hardened integral ring gear and is durable enough and thick enough to be resurfaced. Certified to SFI Specification 1.1. This is a great flywheel for your daily driven 06-10 Civic Si if you are looking to increase performance without sacrificing driveability.
The ACT Prolite flywheel is made using premium quality, forged chrome-moly steel that is then CNC machined then balanced. The ACT Prolite flywheel has more material removed from the outer rim than the Streetlite to get it down to it's super-light 8.4lbs. If you are planning to daily drive your Civic Si on the street, in traffic, you may not want this light of a flywheel. The Prolite is a RACE ONLY flywheel. The Prolite also features an induction-hardened integral ring gear, and is durable and thick enough to be resurfaced. Certified to SFI Specification 1.1.
