07-09 Mini Cooper S SPEC Staged Clutch Kits
SPEC Clutch Kits for the turbocharged 2007-2009 R56 Mini Cooper S are some of the highest quality after market clutch kits on the market. Spec makes a high performance clutch option for any level of stock or modified Mini Cooper S. SPEC kits for the 07-09 Mini Cooper S include the pressure plate, applicable bearings and clutch disc. SPEC Stage 4 and 5 Clutch kits for the Mini Cooper S are available by special order but are very aggressive and suggested for race prepped Mini Coopers only.
- A note on solid vs. spring clutch kits:
- Mini Coopers come from the factory with a dual mass (or sprung) flywheel and a solid hub clutch. If you have previously upgraded to a solid disc flywheel, you will need to purchase a sprung hub clutch to maintain proper clutch operation. If you are planning on using your SPEC clutch kit with your factory flywheel, a solid hub disc is required. Please let us know what kind of flywheel you will be pairing with your SPEC clutch kit so the appropriate style disc can be ordered.

This unit is a solid hub version of the stage 3. The hub is solid 8-rivet and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability. It is available in a 3, 4 or 6 puck configuration. Use the 3 puck for the lightest option or the 6 puck for the smoothest engagement. The 4 puck is a good compromise for both. Street drivable in 6 puck configuration, but not street friendly due to the rigid hub. OFF ROAD USE ONLY! This setup is intended for track use only.
